Our Client provides specialist education, care and community support for the most complex, vulnerable young people and adults. Their services work with people with autism, mild to severe learning difficulties, mental health and challenging behaviour and are shaped to meet the changing needs of people as they move from childhood to adulthood and beyond. With this in mind, they are currently seeking Children and Adult Support Workers to work within their two services in the Herefordshire area.

Children Support Workers
Providing individualised care and education programmes for children and young people aged 8 to 19 years, with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

Job Offer and Requirements:

  • Salary band: £14,754.47 to £17,601.83 day shifts, £16,225.80 to £18,303.23 night shifts
  • 39 hours contracted per week, overtime is available
  • Training and induction provided
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or working with children in a care setting is essential
  • NVQ Level 3 in Early Education is required to be completed during the probationary period
  • Minimum C1 level of English is essential

Adult Support Workers
Providing residential support for young adults aged 18 years and over, who have a severe learning disability, autism, communication difficulties, challenging behaviours, mental health and other complex needs.

Job Offer and Requirements:

  • Salary band: £14,625.00 during probation, £17,316.00 after successful probation
  • 39 hours contracted per week, overtime is available
  • Training and induction provided
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker is desirable, but not essential
  • B2 level of English is essential

Other Information

  • Closest Airport is Birmingham
  • Accommodation is provided for the first 3 to 4 weeks, and thereafter the successful candidates will be assisted with sourcing their own accommodation in the area
  • Estimated start date is mid to end April 2017
  • Skype interviews to take place from 20th to 31st March 2017
